23/07/2010 - Weekend Homework

1) Jounral - Something that Makes Me Smile
2) MLEA Individual Writing - Our Hybrids ( Write about 3 hybrids)
Guidelines: What's the name of the hybrid?
Which two animals make up the hybrids?
What could it do?  ( Name at least two functions)
Refer to the example below, do not copy the passage.

                                        Our Hybrids
One day, our teacher brought us three special pets. The first animal had the face of a donkey and the
mane of the lion on top of its head. It had the body of a donkey and the legs of a donkey. Its name was Donlio. We would ride on its donkey half during recess.  We would use the lion half’s mane as a mop to clean the walls. .

The second unusual animal had the face of a tiger and the mouth of a zebra. It had a long body with
thick, black zebra stripes. Its name was Zebger. Zebger’s zebra half could make loud braying sounds. It
would swing its long, tiger tail up and down when it was excited.

The third unusual animal had the face of a cat with large black spots on top of its head. Its tail was pointed and short like the dog’s. Its name was Docat. Docat’s cat half could meow at any pests such as cockroaches or rats in the classroom. The Docat’s dog half would then chase them our of the classroom.

We would take turns to buy food for our three special pets and bathe them in our school pond
once a week.
